 | Vision Statement | |
|
|
|
Because of God’s grace and the lifesaving gift of God’s Son Jesus Christ, the vision of Westminster Presbyterian Church is to be united in our diversity, to grow in spiritual understanding, to awaken Christ’s expectations in ourselves and others, to serve the needs of our congregation, community and world and to experience and share the power of God’s love. |

Outreach |
Westminster reaches out to the community, the city, and to the world Some of the ways are: |
| Christian Community Assistance | | |
CCA is an association of churches in the southwest part of Fort Worth that provide emergency food, clothing, counseling and other types of assistance to needy families in our area. WPC provides volunteers and collects food and other items on a regular basis. | |
|
 | | Habitat for Humanity |
| WPC has been a strong supporter of Habitat for Humanity for many years. Typically, several Presbyterian churches in the area combine forces to do a 'Presbyterian Build'. It's a great opportunity to fellowship with our Presbyterian brothers and sisters, and there are always people eager to volunteer. |
|
| Meals on Wheels |
| |
MOW provides hot, nourishing meals to elderly and disabled persons who are unable to provide meals for themselves. This allows frail, homebound persons to remain in their own homes--where they want to be. WPC provides our building as a distribution point for MOW. And several of our congregation volunteer as both distributors and drivers.
| |
|
 | | Tarrant County Polling Place |
| WPC provides a polling place for Tarrant County. Our facility at the corner of Trail Lake and Altamesa, with entrances to our parking lot from both streets, makes it an ideal location. And, of course, it is handicap accessible. |
|
| Early Learning Place -- Pre-School | | |
WPC is home to the ELP, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing a warm, safe, and loving environment for your Early Learner. The curriculum includes creativity, arts and crafts, music, computers, ABC's and 123's and storytime.
| |
|
 | | Presbyterian Night Shelter |
| WPC supports the shelter with our 'Pennies for God' program. The congregation is encouraged to save their pennies (other money gladly accepted) all year long. This money is collected around Christmas time and sent to the shelter. |
|
Early Childhood Intervention
Tarrant County MHMR |
| |
Volunteers in WPC's congregation pick a name with its accompaning wish-list, and provide gifts to approximately 30 needy children during the Christmas season.
| |
|
 | | Prayer Bears for Cook Children's Hospital |
| The congregation of WPC annually collects stuffed animals for distribution to patients at CCH. On a regular basis we receive the names of children at Cook who need our special prayers. These names are placed in a basket in the narthex where the congregation may choose one or more to take home and pray for. |
