Vision Statement
Because of God’s grace and the lifesaving gift of God’s Son Jesus Christ, the vision of Westminster Presbyterian Church is to be united in our diversity, to grow in spiritual understanding, to awaken Christ’s expectations in ourselves and others, to serve the needs of our congregation, community and world and to experience and share the power of God’s love.

done for us.'

Adult Education Opportunities
There are four active Sunday school classes. Sunday school meets from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. between the two worship services. Each class brings its own unique perspective into studying God's Holy Word.
The Friendship class is a relatively large class that studies a variety of topics. We are currently discussing "Marys of the Bible", led by Wayne Myers.
The Pathfinders class is a theological class. They enjoy studying the theology, doctrine and philosophy of the Christian religion. They are currently studying Proverbs, led by Bob Bittle.
The Movers and Shakers class tends to be a young adult class. The studies in this class take the Bible and put it into a life application model. The question answered here is often: 'How do I live as a Christian and, at the same time, respond to the world in a Christian manner?' They are currently studying "non-violence" and are led by Rob Resurreccion.
The fourth class is a Presbyterian 101 class. In this class that cycles on an as-needed basis, we learn about and discuss what the Presbyterian Church (USA) believes, how it functions and governs itself and where it falls on different life issues. This is an excellent class for people that are new to the Presbyterian Church, or to people that just want to 'brush up' on their understanding of Presbyterianism.
In addition to our Sunday school classes there are several other mediums for group fellowship and Bible study.
We are in a planning stage for a Men's Bible study group--possibly meeting on Saturday mornings after the Men's Breakfast
There is an Intergenerational Women's Bible study on Friday mornings at 9:00 a.m. This group is presently discussing study options for the fall 2006 semester.
There is a group known as the Gleaners, who visit shut-ins.
A Friends and Neighbors group gathers once a month for a pot luck lunch and a program consisting of games, guest speakers, music, etc.
A Mariners group meets once a month for fun, food and fellowship. More information about their current meetings can be found in the newsletter.
Presbyterian Women or Women of the Church is a group of women that meet each Tuesday for either (1) Bible study using the Horizons curriculum, (2) large gathering, where they have lunch and a program by a special guest speaker or (3) hearts and hands, which is a mission project for the community or church.
Men's Breakfast meets once a month on Saturday morning for prayer, good food and fellowship.
Jam Session on Wednesday and Thursday evenings, from 6:30 p.m. till _?_, in which all interested musicians and singers are invited to participate. Audience participation (and critics) are also welcome. You need not be a member of WPC to come join in the fun. The Wednesday session is devoted to learning and/or rehearsing the music for the 8:45 a.m. Sunday contemporary service. The Thursday session is spent playing and singing a variety of 'fun' music. Some of the different instruments played during jam sessions can include; accoustic, electric and bass guitars, violins (fiddles), mandolin, drums, piano, keyboard, clarinet, tin whistles, etc. Come join the fun---participate or just watch and tap your foot.
